Kick Off!

Late as usual, and Damn! I couldn't be more excited. I have wanted to write all my life, about thoughts that diffuse from the left side of my brain and then disappear somewhere in the middle before reaching the right side. Thus, it is my intention to catch those random thoughts in the middle of their long hollow journey and write about them. And who knows I might discover concepts that will put Stephen Hawking and the rest to shame. Coming to think of it, I have been scratching my head pretty often lately... Wonder what's cooking up there?

The pressure to be happy and all enthusiastic every Diwali has quadrupled year-on-year. Nodding your head to indicate "Confirmation" to instructions cometh from higher offices (read: parents) has ensured a great strain on my neck. And I know my head massage is long over due. Till last night, I had a sulk on my face- The T.V. offered no respite whatsoever. Surprisingly, there weren't any masala news- no Home Minister who changed his clothes thrice yesterday! Anyways, I plopped and prodded on my bed only to fall asleep 2-3 hrs later.

I was woken up hurriedly today morning! The male-nurse (What are they called?) from Ranbaxy had arrived to take my family's blood samples. Oh! Did I forget to tell you about my family. See, we like confirming whether we are unfit or not... over-sized waist lines, exceeding food budgets, not finding your size in an apparel showroom- is not sufficient evidence to our unhealthy lifestyle. We must see the confirmation of the same in black and white and on paper lest we start believing that "Rosey cheeks" and "Rotund body frames" are a sign of fresh air and love..

I discovered only today, the advances in Medical technology and was astounded by the way they extract blood samples. Its painless!! Unlike a nurse jabbing you in your vein and pulling out the bood in that blood thirsty pichkari like injection ( me scared that she may think its Blood Holi-day), the new injections are far superior. I mean, you have to get jabbed once ( whats with the excess optimism- Virtual blood tests? Not in my life time, chick-o) however, no-pichkari-like-pulling-out-blood. The blood starts trickling-in in side a test tube and thats that.

So the pressure to be happy today, abated considerably, when the Preliminary reports for the blood samples came in, this evening. French, Romans and Countryme, lend me your ears!
